The Everdime is compatible with all Tilt Head Kitchenaid Mixers and is desinged to prevent your mixers head from jumping/bouncing while mixing. In doing so it helps to protect your machine from excess wear and vibration. It also serves to help protect the enamel on your paddles from coming into contact with the bottom of your bowl and chipping. The Everime is designed to be compatible with all versions of the tilt head KitchenAid mixer excluding the Mini. Installation of the Everdime requires a flat head screw driver and a dime (not included). Simply tilt the head of the mixer up to reveal the set screw in the neck. Remove the screw and thread the screw through the Everdime then re-install. The goal is to set the screw so that when a paddle is placed on the machine that the paddle just passes over the head of a dime and makes slight contact moving it slightly in the bottom of the bowl. This adjustment ensures that your paddles are just a dimes height off the bottom of the bowl preventing the afforementioned issues. It will also ensure that all of your ingredients are being incorporated properly leaving no dry ingredients unmixed in the bottom of the bowl.
